What we Do
Steven Law Office represents landlords in lease enforcement and termination of tenancies “for cause” and evictions. We assist landlords with enforcement of rules and regulations. We assist when properties are at risk of becoming a nuisance.
We represent affordable housing providers.
Most tenants appreciate their community and follow the rules. Unfortunately, some tenants fail or flat out refuse to follow rules. The failure to obey rules can impact other tenants and the property. We help landlord create policies, enforce rules, and manage difficult situations.
We assist landlords accused of Housing Discrimination. We assist in cases involving the Northwest Justice Project; the Center for Justice; the Northwest Fair Housing Alliance; Intermountain Fair Housing Counsel; HUD; Human Rights Commissions and the Attorney General’s Office.
We represent affordable housing providers. We are familiar with: Public housing; Project based Section 8 and PRAC tenancies; LIHTC; USDA R.D.; the Home program; and other subsidized housing programs. Many of these subsidized housing programs require additional measure for proper lease enforcement. Many programs require additional language in compliance and termination Notices. Most subsidized housing programs require cause to terminate tenancy. We are experienced in enforcement of tenant duties, lease terminations, and evictions.
We represent Mobile Home Parks and Manufactured Housing Communities.
We represent Mobile Home Parks and Manufactured Housing Communities. We are familiar with the different relationships existing in many of today’s park, including: lot tenancies; rental of homes; seasonal and short stay RV tenancies.
We work with Parks in matters involving the Attorney General’s Office and regulatory compliance.
Mobile Home Parks and Manufactured Housing Communities are strictly regulated. The regulations affecting these communities are continuing to evolve and are difficult to navigate. We assist Parks in Rules enforcement.
We affiliate with the Manufactured Housing Communities of Washington (MHCW).
