Michelle Myers is the Junior Partner at Steven Law Office and has dedicated her entire legal career to landlord-tenant law for more than 17 years. She represents landlords, property owners, property managers, and housing providers throughout Eastern and Central Washington and Northern Idaho, providing practical legal guidance in residential, manufactured housing, and commercial landlord-tenant matters.
Michelle began her career with Steven Law Office in 2008 as a paralegal, where she developed a comprehensive understanding of Washington's landlord-tenant laws and the litigation process from case intake through final resolution. Her experience working alongside the firm's attorneys provided a strong foundation in legal drafting, client advocacy, courtroom preparation, and litigation strategy.
Determined to expand her ability to serve clients, Michelle completed the Washington State Bar Association Rule 6 Law Clerk Program while continuing to work full-time at Steven Law Office. After earning her law license in 2016, she advanced from Associate Attorney to Senior Associate and, in 2026, was named Junior Partner in recognition of her legal knowledge, leadership, and longstanding commitment to the firm's clients.
Today, Michelle's practice focuses exclusively on landlord-tenant law. She assists landlords, property owners, and housing providers with eviction proceedings, lease enforcement, fair housing compliance, residential and commercial tenancy disputes, manufactured housing matters, and litigation. She is known for her thorough preparation, practical problem-solving, and commitment to helping clients navigate Washington's increasingly complex housing laws.
In addition to her extensive landlord-tenant experience, Michelle briefly practiced immigration law, further strengthening her courtroom advocacy, legal writing, and litigation skills. Earlier in her career, she also gained valuable experience in court case management and legal administration, giving her a well-rounded understanding of the legal system from multiple perspectives.
Michelle earned her Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice and Sociology from Gonzaga University and completed the Washington State Bar Association Rule 6 Law Clerk Program. She is licensed to practice before the Washington State Bar Association and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Washington. She is an active member of the American Bar Association and Spokane County Bar Association and proudly served on the Washington State Bar Association Law Clerk Board from 2019 through 2025.
