Thomas Young

Thomas Young is a Rule 9 Legal Intern at Steven Law Office, assisting landlords, property owners, and property managers with landlord-tenant matters throughout Eastern Washington and Northern Idaho.

Originally from Utah, Thomas earned a Bachelor of Arts in Chinese Language and Literature from Utah State University before attending Gonzaga University School of Law. During law school, he gained valuable legal experience as part of an in-house counsel team, strengthening his skills in legal research, writing, and client advocacy.

Before pursuing a legal career, Thomas worked in the banking industry, where he developed a strong foundation in client service, analytical problem-solving, and navigating complex financial matters. He also served in the Washington State Legislature, gaining firsthand experience with legislative processes and public policy.

Thomas spent two years living and serving in Taiwan, where he developed fluency in cross-cultural communication and a deep appreciation for serving diverse communities. His varied background enables him to approach legal issues with professionalism, attention to detail, and practical solutions.

As a Rule 9 Legal Intern, Thomas works alongside the attorneys at Steven Law Office while preparing to take the Washington State Bar Examination. He is committed to helping landlords and housing providers navigate Washington's landlord-tenant laws with knowledgeable, responsive, and client-focused representation.
